SANCERRE blanc LES VIGNES DU ROCHER
Flint based soil and slopes facing south/south-east.
The vines enjoy optimal exposure to the sun and the temperature climate of the Loire Valley.
WORK IN THE VINEYARD
Environmentally friendly growing methods are adapted to suit each terroir.
The grapes are sorted and destemmed.
The juice undergoes cold static settling and a selection is made of the press juices.
Fermentation takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks at low temperatures.
Pale yellow in colour.
The grapes for this very expressive wine are grown in flint-rich soils. The nose is powerful and complex with notes of ripe fruit that evolve toward aromas of exotic fruit (passion fruit) with mineral notes reminiscent of gunflint.
Full-bodied on the palate with a refreshing finish and good aromatic length.
This is a lovely example of a Sancerre from a flint-based terroir.
Les Vignes du Rocher is the perfect accompaniment to salmon, fish and the famous, local Crottin de Chavignol goat’s cheese.
