SANCERRE blanc LA GRAVELIERE
Grapes cultivated upon mainly clayey-limestone terroirs.
100% destemming (for greater softness and finesse). Low pressure direct pressing (pneumatic press) in order to extract the highest quality juice. Following cold static settling, fermentation takes place at low temperatures in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks.
Bright and clear to the eye, pale gold in colour with flecks of green. Powerful nose with floral and fruity aromas.
The palate is elegant and well balanced, combining freshness, body and a remarkable persistance.
This elegant wine provides a delicate accompaniment to seafood, shellfish and goat’s cheeses, in particular the local “Crottin de Chavignol”.
Ideal serving temperature: 8 - 10°c.
After serving, we recommend allowing this wine to breathe for a short while in order for its aromas to develop to their full potential.
