The vineyards of Quincy

North-west of Bourges, the vineyards of Quincy are located on the banks of the River Cher, covering an area of nearly 254 hectares. The vines are planted on an ancient, gently rolling terrace along the River Cher, consisting of sand and gravel. The poor soil heats up quickly. The local climate is relatively warm and dry.

The area of appellation is divided between two communes: Quincy and Brinay.

Grape variety: Sauvignon Blanc. In 1988, the Joseph Mellot and Sorbe families decided to work together. Since 1999, Domain Joseph Mellot has owned both the Jean Michel Sorbe Estate and the Pierre Duret Estate.
