CHINON LES MORINIERES
The 40year old vines are planted in predominantly clayey-limestone soil and benefit from south-eastern exposure.
The grapes are destemmed and fermented for 20 days in temperature controlled tanks. Maturation takes place in vats.
Deep red in colour with purple flecks.
The nose is fruity with aromas of black fruits (blackcurrant, elderberry) and violets.
Full and round on the palate with soft, delicate tannins.
An excellent accompaniment to cold meats, poultry, grilled meats, game and cow’s milk cheeses such as Camembert.
Ideal serving temperature: 15°c.
